This role involves leading the elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritization, and management of business and technical requirements for mission-critical projects within the federal government. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will partner with clients, Product Owners, developers, testers, and project leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into detailed user stories, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, business process flows, use cases, and technical specifications. The position requires analyzing complex business problems, recommending technology-enabled solutions, and analyzing current- and future-state processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. The role also involves facilitating requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and backlog refinement, ensuring requirements are testable, actionable, and traceable. Additionally, the analyst will support Agile delivery teams throughout the SDLC, translate requirements into Jira user stories, participate in Agile ceremonies, and develop comprehensive documentation using Confluence. Customer engagement and continuous improvement are key, requiring the analyst to serve as a trusted advisor, build strong relationships, and communicate effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role also contributes to the improvement of business analysis practices and organizational standards.
