About The Position

Serving as a strategic technology leader within a large-scale healthcare client environment, this is a highly collaborative and influential role focused on assessing enterprise platforms, identifying architectural, operational, and delivery challenges, and driving improvements across complex healthcare ecosystems. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, business leaders, healthcare stakeholders, and global delivery teams to ensure platforms are scalable, reliable, secure, and aligned to business objectives. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise across Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Angular, enterprise databases, and various third-party platforms with the ability to analyze complex environments, uncover systemic issues, and develop actionable recommendations. This individual must be comfortable challenging the status quo, presenting fact-based findings to technical and business leadership, and driving accountability across multiple teams to ensure issues are addressed and improvements are successfully implemented. This role requires a strong communicator and trusted advisor who can bridge technology, operations across various teams, and healthcare stakeholders. You will play a key role in identifying platform risks, architectural gaps, process inefficiencies, and modernization opportunities while partnering with client and project leadership to prioritize and execute strategic improvements. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, technical architecture, production support, or enterprise technology leadership roles.
  • Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Angular, enterprise databases, and integrated platform ecosystems.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications and complex third-party platform integrations.
  • Experience analyzing production incidents, recurring issues, operational trends, and root causes within enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of support models, incident management, problem management, and operational governance processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership without direct authority.
  • Experience leading cross-functional discussions and driving alignment across multiple organizations and competing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify systemic issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing and presenting fact-based findings, risk assessments, and remediation plans to senior leadership.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams and distributed organizations.
  • Healthcare industry experience supporting payer, provider, member services, or healthcare technology platforms.
  • Leadership experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
  • Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, production support, infrastructure, various vendors, and business teams to identify and resolve platform issues impacting the customer and member experience.
  • Analyze incident trends, recurring defects, production support metrics, and root cause analysis findings to identify systemic issues and operational bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate technical reviews, remediation workshops, and governance meetings to drive alignment, ownership, and issue resolution across teams.
  • Develop fact-based assessments and recommendations supported by operational data, application health metrics, and architectural analysis.
  • Hold teams accountable for action plans, remediation activities, and committed deliverables while tracking progress to resolution.
  • Escalate unresolved risks, dependencies, and recurring issues to project sponsors, technology leaders, and executive stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Evaluate application architectures, integrations, databases, cloud services, and third-party platforms to identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner with production support teams (L2-L3) to improve operational processes, platform stability, service reliability, and support effectiveness.
  • Present findings, risks, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform performance, operational excellence, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Liaise with offshore teams for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
