About The Position

B+H Architects is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join their Healthcare team in the Toronto Studio. This role is part of a group focused on the planning, design, and delivery of healthcare sector projects of various sizes and through different delivery models. The Senior Technical Architect will manage the construction administration and technical aspects of project packages. The ideal candidate is eager to mentor and contribute to the growth and development of themselves and team members. They will collaborate with senior leaders to advance the practice and produce award-winning projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an architect with a technical background.
• Strong computer skills are mandatory, particularly with programs such as REVIT, and Microsoft suite.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on healthcare projects is a bonus.
• Registered Architect with OAA is a bonus.
• Experience working on P3 project procurement model is beneficial.
• Experience working on large projects with multiple sub-consultant team infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
• Supervises preparation of technical drawings and lead construction administration.
• Develop details in accordance with design intent and construction drawings.
• Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to QA/QC and B+H Best Practice standards.
• Mentors junior staff and delegate tasks as necessary.
• Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team.
• Assist with and/or managing contract administration services.
