About The Position

As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of significant accounting transactions and special projects. This role involves working with SEC reporting forms such as 10-K and 10-Q, U.S. GAAP, and technical accounting subjects including revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, debt and equity instruments, acquisitions, going concern, goodwill, and impairments. You will prepare SEC reporting schedules, assist with required filings as a public company, and help with Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux analyses. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external auditors, assistance in preparing and updating accounting policies, and support for accounting processes related to capital market transactions, share-based compensation, capitalized software, and other complex transactions. You will also assist the Controller and/or Assistant Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, maintain internal controls, and interact with various departments across the company to facilitate the close process and support special projects. Ad hoc research and other special projects will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA license in good standing required.
  • 3 years minimum in public accounting with a focus on public companies and ideally fast-growing tech.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple, competing tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accounting and reporting of significant accounting transactions and special projects.
  • Work with SEC reporting Forms: 10-K, 10-Q, US GAAP and technical accounting subjects, such as revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensations, debt and equity instruments, acquisitions, going concern, goodwill and impairments.
  • Prepare SEC reporting schedules (e.g., statement of stockholders’ equity, statement of comprehensive income, debt footnote, share based compensation footnote, earnings per share, etc.).
  • Assist with preparation of the required filings as a public company, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, proxy statements and other filings as they become necessary.
  • Assist with or prepare Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux analyses.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to support quarterly reviews and audits by providing timely, accurate data and communication.
  • Assist with preparing, maintaining, and updating accounting policies and memorandums in accordance with applicable guidance.
  • Support accounting processes for debt and equity related capital market transactions, share-based compensation, capitalized software, debt and equity investments and other complex transactions.
  • Assist and work directly with the Controller and/or Assistant Controller to prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for assigned accounts (e.g., journal entries and account reconciliations).
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls for areas of responsibility.
  • Interact with Financial Shared Services, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, HR and various other functions across different geographies within the company to facilitate an effective close process and support special projects.
  • Assist with ad hoc research and other special projects.
