About The Position
This is a Refund Audit Reviewer - Senior Tax Specialist position in the General Tax Administration Program's, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process, Refunds Unit. The incumbent will provide technical assistance, process knowledge, and refund audit support to staff responsible for completing tax refund audits. The incumbent also reviews refund audit files and provides feedback, conducts and participates in audit conferences with taxpayers and taxpayer representatives, serves as a subject matter expert regarding the refund audit process, and provides training to new auditors.
Requirements
- Currently employed within the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Five years of professional tax auditing experience within the General Tax Administration Program (GTA).
- Two years of experience with the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX) within the Florida Department of Revenue.
Nice To Haves
- Professional General Tax Administration tax auditing experience in Corporate Income Tax.
