About The Position

Provide guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions. Lead client engagements, and develop and implement tax-efficient structures for US investments. Direct and assist in the compliance aspects of US tax for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations and individuals. Ensure tax filings comply with standards regarding property investments, income, and allocations. Provide technical tax expertise regarding tax-efficient structures and planning, review US tax estimates and projections. Research and manage complex tax matters, including planning and compliance, and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities. Staying current on recent tax developments within the US area, and leading technical tax training for staff. Work closely with senior management in mentoring, supervising and evaluating staff.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years tax experience tax experience including tax planning, compliance, and preparation
  • 4+ years of management experience
  • Bachelor degree in accounting (required)
  • CPA license required
  • Thorough knowledge of the tax impact to individuals, their business and investments
  • Communication (verbal and written)
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and follow through skills
  • Integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness and client-service skills
  • Computer proficiency with software programs such as RIA Checkpoint, Client full suite of tax software: UltraTax, Workpapers, Practice CS and File Cabinet, Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Nice To Haves

  • Big 4 firm experience (preferred)
  • Masters of Tax degree (preferred)
