About The Position

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for the review of high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, gift and estate returns, trust preparations, joint ventures, noncorporate entity tax returns, combined state tax returns, and tax compliance. This role involves reviewing complex individual tax returns, managing and developing income tax and financial planning clients, and working closely with tax partners and other tax staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities. The Senior Tax Manager will maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively. They will also consult, collaborate with, and service clients to make recommendations on business and process improvements, acting as a business advisor. Additionally, the role includes supervising and driving the success of multiple engagements in partnership and individual taxation, preparing year-end projections, researching various tax issues, mentoring Associates, and maintaining presentation skills.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of public accounting experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Possess a broad understanding of Tax Law with specialized knowledge in a particular area(s) of partnerships, HNW individuals, corporate, taxation of pass-throughs, entities, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and/or financial planning.
  • Ability to prepare working trial balance and year-end adjusting entries
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fields
  • A CPA certification is required
  • Strong technical expertise in tax preparation and review, tax compliance, and tax research
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Excel, Word, and CCH Axcess
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, fostering client and staff relationships

Responsibilities
