About The Position

The Senior Tax Manager will support the corporate tax function by assisting with the preparation and completion of the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC-740) and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and laws through timely filing of all tax returns and other required reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA license
• 6-8 years applicable tax experience, preferably in a large corporate work environment, which may be in industry, public accounting, or similar surroundings
• Strong computer systems and technology skills, including experience with accounting and tax software and MS Office software
• Strong technical knowledge of Federal, International, and State tax concepts and accounting principles
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey complex tax concepts and results effectively to senior management
• Effective project management, time management, and resource management skills
• Ability to be a solid team player and work effectively in a collaborative environment across functional areas

Responsibilities

• Manage all federal, international, state and local tax-related areas for the Company
• Assist with preparation and document all information for the income tax provision and audited statement reporting requirements
• Manage the relationship with the external tax compliance team
• Collaborate with auditors, consultants and regulatory agencies
• Oversee all indirect tax functions, including state income and franchise tax, property tax, sales and use tax, excise and business tax, and unclaimed property
• Monitor developments in applicable areas of tax law to determine the impact on the Company's tax returns and financial statement positions
• Participate in the development of restructuring strategies to ensure the Company operates in the most tax efficient structure for tax purposes
