Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm.
  • At least 5 years of Private Client experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree.
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Andersen will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple engagement teams for a wide range of sophisticated clients, including Wealthiest Families, Family Offices, Owner Operated Business Entities, Alternative Investment Fund Principals, Trusts and Estates.
  • Engage in business development activities such as preparing proposals, presenting in webinars, and collaborating with other service lines to present comprehensive tax strategies.
  • Maintain client communication to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, stay current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
  • Draft technical tax memoranda.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Intern, Associate, and Senior Associates.
  • Receive formal PCS and on-the-job training in daily interactions with top tax leaders to learn about legislative changes, wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies, and buy/sell agreement planning.
