Requirements

6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm.
At least 5 years of Alternative Investment Fund experience (preferably venture capital or private equity funds).
Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree – Accounting, Economics, or related degree preferred.
Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD).
Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficient use of technology.
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
Will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Oversee and complete tax projects for alternative investment funds.
Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance for clients including private equity, venture capital, real estate, fund of funds, hedge funds, and family offices.
Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns.
Maintain client communication to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, stay current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
Engage in business development activities such as preparing proposals, presenting in webinars, and collaborating with other service lines.
Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
