Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm.
  • At least 5 years of Alternative Investment Fund experience (preferably venture capital or private equity funds).
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree – Accounting, Economics, or related degree preferred.
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
  • Will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and complete tax projects for alternative investment funds.
  • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance for clients including private equity, venture capital, real estate, fund of funds, hedge funds, and family offices.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns.
  • Maintain client communication to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, stay current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
  • Engage in business development activities such as preparing proposals, presenting in webinars, and collaborating with other service lines.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
