Senior Tax Analyst – International Tax

About The Position

We are currently recruiting qualified candidates for Senior Tax Analyst - International reporting directly to the International Tax Supervisor for the Americas region. This is a dynamic position that supports the Americas region Tax team. The successful candidate will possess technical tax knowledge to maintain and derive value through accurate reporting, compliance, and planning. Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in international tax, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of US international tax rules, adherence to ASC 740 standards, and relevant concepts
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of US International calculations and compliance obligations (Forms 5471, 8858, 8992, 8993, 1118, 8975, as well as disclosure statements)
  • Prepare local jurisdictional current and deferred tax calculations on a quarterly basis per ASC 740 standards
  • Prepare and review foreign tax returns as well as return-to-provision adjustments and coordinate with local finance managers and local tax advisors to ensure they are accurately and timely filed
  • Provide support for modeling and quantitative analysis projects
  • Attend relevant technical tax training and monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting US international tax
  • Monitor international tax accounts - prepare monthly roll forwards for current/deferred tax expense, income taxes payable, and NOLs
  • Provide support when considering uncertain tax positions and if necessary, help document the company's position
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation supporting transfer pricing policies governing cross-border intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare tax basis balance sheets for international operations
  • Provide internal control documentation required by Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Assist with foreign tax audits, coordinating with local finance managers and local tax advisors
  • Connect with various business teams to understand tax technical issues and operations as well as build relationships
  • Maintain international tax compliance calendar and workplans
  • Drive process improvements and facilitate streamlining and automation of recurring calculations
