Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 5+ years of tax experience, ideally involving individual and closely held business returns
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients and professional partners
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or have other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation strongly preferred (EA considered)
  • High-net-worth tax planning experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the firm's primary internal tax resource for advisors and staff
  • Analyze individual, business, and trust tax returns to uncover planning opportunities and potential tax savings
  • Design proactive tax strategies that align with clients' financial plans, investment portfolios, and long-term objectives
  • Partner with advisors in preparing for and participating in client meetings to explain tax strategies and recommendations
  • Coordinate with clients' CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure seamless execution of planning initiatives
  • Research complex federal and state tax topics and communicate relevant legislative updates to the team
  • Prepare tax projections, estimated tax analyses, and other planning-related calculations
  • Develop scalable processes, tools, templates, and resources that enhance the firm's tax planning capabilities
  • Deliver internal training and educational sessions to strengthen advisor tax knowledge
  • Help shape the future of tax planning within a rapidly growing wealth management practice
