About The Position

Reid Accountants + Advisors is seeking an experienced Tax & Accounting Senior to join their team. This is a diversified role with a mix of General Accounting and Income Tax Preparation. The candidate will evaluate and record client business transactions and the work of any assigned accountants. A strong understanding of general accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential. This position involves frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and collaboration with clients and subordinates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
• CPA or CPA candidate
• At least 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time effectively
• Ability to commute/relocate: Woodbury, NY 11797: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Experience using CCH Access Suite (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, closings, and journal entries.
• Work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research.
• Prepare various tax returns, including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with Partners and Managers and assist the team with ad-hoc assignments and special projects.
