About The Position

This is a brand new position available due to expansion within a prestigious boutique firm in Melbourne. The role offers direct access to Partners and regular leadership check-ins, with opportunities for career progression into Manager & Senior Manager roles. You will gain exposure to large and complex clients with turnovers exceeding $300 million. The firm fosters a culture rooted in collaboration, teamwork, and shared success, operating with contemporary software, processes, and facilities. You will receive direct mentorship from seniors and work with a strong local and offshore support team.

Requirements

4+ years working in public practice and business services
CA or CPA qualified, or actively working toward certification
Communicates clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail
Takes initiative and shows motivation
Works well both independently and as part of a team
Has excellent time-management skills and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

General compliance, accounting, and tax return preparation for all types of taxpayers
Managing and maintaining client files
Developing tailored financial strategies for clients
Analysing financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities for other Practice services
Collaborating with clients on tax-related matters and liaising with the ATO and other authorities
Implementing effective tax planning programs
Ensure the timely completion of all accounting and tax-related work, meeting deadlines and budgets
Review work with Managers and Associate Directors
Be mindful of weekly and monthly productivity targets
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and continue their professional growth
