Your Impact As a Tax Senior Accountant at Hungerford, you'll play a key role in delivering tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base. You'll work closely with clients and team members to develop solutions, identify opportunities, and provide exceptional service. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax concepts and general accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Adaptability to serve clients across a variety of industries and business structures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tax software solutions.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and improving processes.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, trust, corporation, and S corporation tax returns.
  • Assist with tax planning, projections, and strategic tax initiatives for clients.
  • Evaluate tax notices and correspondence and assist with drafting responses to taxing authorities.
  • Support compliance engagements, including partnership filings and other specialized projects.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and trusted advice.
  • Mentor, train, and support staff accountants and interns.
  • Contribute to departmental process improvements, strategic initiatives, and firmwide goals.
  • Leverage technology and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and client service.
  • Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement activities.
