Requirements

  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2–3+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Experience preparing individual and business tax returns
  • Strong understanding of tax compliance concepts and procedures
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax and Accounting CS a plus
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, business, partnership, trust, and related tax returns
  • Assist clients with proactive tax planning strategies
  • Research tax issues and develop practical recommendations
  • Respond to federal and state tax notices
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality client deliverables
  • Build strong relationships with business owners and individual clients
  • Provide year-round guidance regarding tax and financial matters
  • Assist with tax consulting and planning engagements
  • Deliver exceptional client service through responsiveness and communication
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting reports
  • Assist clients with payroll and payroll tax compliance matters
  • Support bookkeeping and accounting engagements as necessary
  • Help clients improve processes and financial reporting accuracy
  • Continue developing technical tax expertise
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development programs
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals and firm leadership
  • Build skills that support advancement into future leadership opportunities
