About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist (Sr) to lead recruitment efforts across our Fire and Life Safety organization. This individual will oversee a full-cycle recruitment process—from frontline recruitment to strategic research and proactive outreach. They will also partner with our current People team and hiring leadership to drive interview processes, hiring, and supporting successful onboarding—in key regions including New York and New Jersey.This is a collaborative role that will work closely with the VP of People and Culture, along with their HR peers to implement our 2026 Talent Acqusition Playbook and Talent Management efforts.This role is full-time onsite at our beautiful Woodbury, NY headquarters location.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on recruiting frontline workforce in addition to technical and project leadership roles in the Industrial space.
  • Strong research and sourcing capabilities, with a track record of successfully identifying and engaging high-quality candidates.
  • Excellent interviewing and assessment skills to conduct candidate assessments
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with hiring managers to understand organizational needs and deliver results.
  • Proficiency in using systems such as, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Subscription, and ADP ATS (or related ATS tools) for candidate sourcing, tracking, and management
  • Deep understanding of recruitment platforms, social media tools, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with applicants, employees, and internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Prior demonstrated experience in Talent Marketing initiatives and sourcing campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the field of fire, life and safety
  • Ability to travel to different operation sites as needed (limited)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous broad experience in HR is highly preferred and experience in the fire and life safety industry is highly preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Research & Sourcing: Conduct comprehensive research to identify top talent pools for key positions within the fire and life safety industry. Utilize online platforms, social media, professional networks, and industry-specific events to source potential candidates. Support the develop of "always on" talent campaigns for key service line resources ranging from frontline hourly to high level Engineering and Project Leadership roles.
  • Outreach & Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term relationships with prospective candidates, proactively reaching out to passive talent through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media. Develop an effective outreach strategy to create a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Interviewing & Selection: Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, cultural fit, and leadership potential. Coordinate with hiring managers and department heads to ensure that candidates align with organizational goals and values.
  • Candidate Management: Provide a positive and transparent experience for all candidates throughout the hiring process. Maintain clear communication, manage expectations, and ensure a smooth recruitment journey from initial outreach to offer acceptance. Maintaining a focus on the first 90 days of employment and initial goal development in conjunction with the hiring manager.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to understand the specific needs of the roles at intake. Provide strategic guidance and recommendations for attracting top-tier talent. Establish interview schedules and selection process.
  • Recruitment Metrics & Reporting: Track key recruitment metrics including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction. Provide regular updates and analysis to hiring leadership on the status of open positions and overall hiring performance.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up to date on trends, compensation benchmarks, and best practices within the fire and life safety industry. Leverage this knowledge to make informed decisions on candidate recruitment strategies. Develop relationships with networks and association to drive recruiting and candidate acquisition.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Subscription, and ADP ATS to effectively source, track, and manage candidates. Use these platforms to engage with potential candidates, streamline the application process, maximize technology, and improve recruitment efficiency.
  • Additional HR Functions: Enhance the employee experience by developing orientation and on boarding presentations in partnership with the engagement lead, development plans with the hiring manager and monitoring progress, ensure proper title structure and up to date job descriptions for each position at TFP. We are implementing a next level onboarding and candidate experience - you will partner closely on those efforts.
