About The Position

We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer to join a premier cybersecurity company. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and refinement of lightweight communication protocols designed for resource-constrained hardware. You will work at the core of a widely deployed security stack, ensuring that data remains protected across automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors. This position offers the opportunity to tackle the most challenging problems in modern cryptography while working in a collaborative, research-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems-level programming or security software engineering.
  • Expert-level mastery of C for embedded environments.
  • Profound knowledge of TCP/IP networking and secure protocols like TLS, DTLS, or SSH.
  • Practical experience with RTOS platforms or bare-metal software development.
  • Analytical mindset with a rigorous approach to problem-solving and code quality.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fully distributed, remote setting.
  • Clear written communication skills for producing detailed technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain portable source code for various secure communication protocols and mathematical libraries.
  • Refine protocol implementations to achieve a minimal footprint and optimal memory usage for small-scale devices.
  • Engage with chipset manufacturers to integrate secure connectivity features into next-generation hardware platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive security audits and automated testing to ensure the highest level of code integrity.
  • Lead the development of new features from initial research through to reference implementation and user documentation.
  • Create high-quality technical guides for a global community of developers and partners.
  • Represent the organization in technical forums to help shape emerging industry security standards.
