About The Position
The CalSTRS Enterprise IT Solutions & Innovation Division is seeking an experienced individual to work as a Senior Systems & Production Administrator in the System and Production Services Unit. The Enterprise IT Solutions and Innovation Division provides solutions development and related support services aimed at delivering and optimizing the CalSTRS enterprise-wide, technology-based solutions to the business. This division works in collaboration with the Project Management, Infrastructure and Operations, Enterprise IT Governance and CalSTRS business areas in the delivery of quality solutions that meet or exceed the business needs of CalSTRS. This division manages and provides oversights to Data Solution Services, Web Solution Development, Solution Services, START Solutions Development, and System and Production Services. Under the general direction of the Manager of System and Production Services, the Information Technology Specialist ll operates as the Senior Systems & Production Administrator and oversees the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of CalSTRS Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system, and other CalSTRS application systems as assigned and supported by the team. The incumbent acts as a lead to perform a wide variety of tasks requiring innovative problem-solving, scripts development, and application integration where guidance is not readily available. The incumbent demonstrates advanced level knowledge and skills in administering, supporting, and troubleshooting complex systems; and optimizes and applies solutions for the benefit of the overall organization in addition to, mentoring and leading junior staff on the team.
Requirements
- Experience in Solutioning, Developing , Automating and deployment.
- Hands on experience with coding in languages like java, java script, python or other programming language.
- Experience in Relational data base, writing SQL queries, Rest API's and CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience with cloud based technologies - AWS or Azure. ( Lamda, DynamoDB, Redis, cloudwatch etc)
- Experience with solving application performance issues and exposed to using the tools.
- Experience in integrating with third party application.
- Experience on frameworks like spring, spring boot or other frameworks.
- Experience in technical leadership with cross function teams and third party application.
Responsibilities
