MANSCAPED
$167,000 - $177,000Remote

About The Position

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Technology Development, MANSCAPED® is seeking a Senior Systems & Platform Engineer to help shape the architecture, development practices, and infrastructure automation behind our Azure-based enterprise platform. This is a role blends deep expertise in software development, infrastructure as code, and Azure cloud-native services, with support for our integration-heavy enterprise applications including ERP (NetSuite), middleware/ETL, retail and marketplace integrations, 3PL connectivity, fulfillment, reconciliation, and analytics platforms. As the Azure counterpart to our Digital Technology Sr. Platform Engineer, you will partner across both sides of the technology organization to define a unified Azure architecture, support the consolidation of additional workloads onto Azure, and own the long-term platform direction for Enterprise Applications. This is a critical role for the company’s cloud strategy. If you are passionate about building secure, scalable enterprise platforms and thrive in a lean, cross-functional team, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Systems or Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with strong software development background
  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud platform and services, including Azure Container Apps, App Service, Service Bus, Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Application Gateway, Entra ID, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor
  • Hands-on experience architecting and deploying infrastructure using Terraform; Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) module experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience leading or supporting a cloud migration to Azure (from GCP, AWS, or on-premise) is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, containerization, and infrastructure automation, ideally using GitHub Actions with OIDC federation to Azure
  • Strong experience with enterprise application platforms and integration patterns: ERP (NetSuite preferred), middleware and ETL platforms (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or equivalent), EDI (SPS Commerce or similar), and messaging (Service Bus, Event Hubs, or Kafka)
  • Retail and omnichannel systems experience (marketplace integrations, 3PL connectivity, fulfillment data flows, financial reconciliation) is strongly preferred
  • Strong scripting and backend development experience with Python or TypeScript; .NET or Java familiarity a plus given the enterprise applications context
  • Proficiency in API design, integration, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with performance monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and OpenTelemetry
  • Working knowledge of Azure security and compliance practices including Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, private endpoints, and managed identities
  • Experience working with offshore teams for program execution
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Resourceful, self-directed, and highly accountable in a lean team environment

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions on Azure across the enterprise application ecosystem: NetSuite ERP integrations, middleware and ETL workloads, retail and marketplace channel integrations, 3PL connectivity, fulfillment, reconciliation, and analytics
  • Lead design and development of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform with Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) modules to support modern software delivery practices
  • Partner with the Digital Technology Platform Engineer to define a unified Azure landing zone, networking topology, identity model, and security baseline that serves both Enterprise Applications and Digital Technology
  • Support the consolidation of additional workloads onto Azure, including landing zone build-out, service migration, messaging platform (Service Bus / Event Hubs), data platform, and observability stack
  • Build and operate the Azure platform for integration-heavy workloads including Data Factory pipelines, Service Bus and Event Hubs messaging, Logic Apps, Function Apps, and App Service-hosted middleware
  • Support reconciliation and financial close workloads with platform-level discipline around scheduling, idempotency, retries, and observability so that month-end and SLA-bound jobs land reliably
  • Partner with NetSuite, EDI (SPS Commerce), retail/marketplace, and 3PL integration developers (onshore and offshore) to deliver performant, maintainable, and production-ready services on Azure
  • Establish and operate the Azure observability stack (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics) with OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation across enterprise services
  • Build FinOps foundations on Azure: tagging standards enforced via Azure Policy, Cost Management with budgets and anomaly detection
  • Conduct architecture and code reviews focused on functionality, scalability, performance, security, and reliability
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues across the full application lifecycle (dev, staging, prod)
