About The Position

Odyssey is hiring a Senior Systems Integration Engineer (MBSE) to support the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Program AFLCMC/WIS Asymmetric Warfare Division. The program advances, sustains, and modernizes the Air Force’s small UAS portfolio to meet evolving operational needs across multiple mission sets. The position supports systems engineering and integration, acquisition engineering, airworthiness, system safety, and Operational Safety, Suitability & Effectiveness (OSS&E) activities for defense systems. The role is onsite at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, with 20% travel. The engineer applies DoDD 5000-series guidance and AFMC/AFLCMC engineering policies to SOF acquisition engineering activities; supports system and subsystem requirements development and analysis; and conducts technical planning, integration analyses, trade studies, risk assessments, and supportability/effectiveness assessments. The role also reviews engineering proposals, designs, specifications, and change packages, and contributes technical expertise, documentation, and reporting to engineering and program reviews. The position provides engineering leadership and technical direction for systems operating in large-scale distributed and virtual environments. It requires experience with networking protocols and development on Windows, Sun, Linux, or Unix platforms, including C/C++ and Java. The engineer also supports Information Assurance accreditation and control implementation for projects up to and including ACAT I Platform Information Technology systems, and produces engineering artifacts supporting systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification, system safety, and lifecycle systems engineering.
