About The Position

ElectronX is seeking a Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve the platforms that keep their electricity derivatives market running. This role spans cloud infrastructure, containerized workloads, observability pipelines, security operations, and networking. The engineer will operate with high autonomy in a lean, high-trust team, directly impacting production systems. The ideal candidate is resourceful, curious, adaptable, and possesses a can-do attitude, taking pride in promoting technical excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years in systems or infrastructure engineering in a production environment
  • Deep experience with a major cloud provider (GCP or AWS) including compute, networking, IAM, and managed services
  • Container orchestration proficiency including workload management, RBAC, networking, and storage
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Hands-on experience with a centralized logging or SIEM platform including query development, dashboard authoring, and pipeline management
  • EDR platform administration including sensor deployment, policy management, and detection triage
  • IAM/SSO platform administration including app integrations, automated provisioning, and MFA enforcement
  • Experience managing enterprise firewalls and VPN solutions including policy configuration and rule management
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to improve productivity, automate workflows, and solve operational problems
  • Comfort operating in a regulated financial services or fintech environment

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Manage container orchestration platforms, including cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, ingress, persistent storage, and workload isolation.
  • Implement and enforce cloud organization policies, IAM, and network security controls.
  • Apply FinOps principles to monitor cloud spend, identify waste, and optimize costs.
  • Administer centralized log management and SIEM platforms, including ingestion pipelines and query performance.
  • Build and maintain operational dashboards for application health, platform latency, infrastructure status, and security events.
  • Instrument log and metric ingestion from various sources.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in metrics and summaries.
  • Evaluate, administer, and integrate SaaS-based monitoring and APM platforms.
  • Operate endpoint detection and response (EDR) tooling, including policy tuning and alert triage.
  • Administer identity and access management (IAM/SSO) platforms, including single sign-on, automated provisioning, and MFA policies.
  • Enforce endpoint compliance via mobile device management (MDM) tooling.
  • Support SOC 2 Type II evidence collection and continuous control monitoring.
  • Manage zero-trust network overlays, including access control policies and log telemetry integration.
  • Maintain DNS, TLS, and secure file transfer configurations.
  • Manage and maintain enterprise firewalls and VPN solutions.
  • Troubleshoot network issues across cloud virtual networks and hybrid connectivity.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation for production system support.
