Senior Systems Engineering Manager
About The Position
The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Boeing’s Space Mission Systems (SMS) Systems Engineering, Integration & Test Capability, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager (Level L) to join the portfolio of Strategic Space Communication Programs in El Segundo, California. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team of Ground Systems Engineers and Software Engineers in the design, development, and integration of a Command & Control (C2) software application. You will be a leader of a high-performance systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers and senior technologists. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems engineering and/or software development and be experienced with cost, schedule, and performance responsibilities. You will need to be an open and inclusive leader partnering with other Boeing business functional areas, engineering capabilities, and program leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 8+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role
- Must be willing to work travel domestically up to 10% of the time
- Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
- This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures, and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
