About The Position

FactSet is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Client & External Networking team in Austin, TX. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems that integrate with clients, market data vendors, and FactSet's internal networks. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing network performance, troubleshooting issues, and recommending solutions to enhance reliability. Additionally, the role requires developing and maintaining network documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams on new technology integration, and providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders. The position allows for telecommuting two days per week, with a requirement to report to the Austin, TX office three days per week.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
At least 5 years of industry experience in the job offered or related occupation

Responsibilities

Design, Implement and maintain network systems to provide services that successfully integrate into our clients, market data vendors and FactSet’s internal networks.
Monitor and analyze network performance, identify, troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions to improve network performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and operational procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and applications into FactSet’s network infrastructure.
Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders/clients and assist in resolving network-related problems in timely and efficient manner.
