About The Position

Mobius is seeking a Missile Defense System Senior Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's Architecture Concept Evaluation (MDA/CAC) office. This role involves developing future Missile Defense architectures to address ballistic and hypersonic missile threats, protecting the homeland, regional Warfighters, and allies. As contract support, you will contribute to the development of missile defense concepts, analysis plans, and tools, interpret analytical data, and interface with other government agencies to identify missile defense capabilities within their systems. These efforts will assist MDA decision-makers in assessing architecture alternatives and making investment decisions. This is a full-time salaried position located on Fort Belvoir, VA.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD/DoW or IC programs/projects
  • Knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) components, architectures, and concepts, with demonstrated understanding through analysis activities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity and experience with MDA and/or other complex MDS Elements
  • Experience with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) processes or related activities where cost, performance, and/or risk trade-offs were made to support engineering decisions
  • Able to work independently on some tasks and lead teams to analyze and resolve problems on other tasks
  • Able to plan and execute projects involving prime contractors, other MDA offices, and FFRDC/UARC partners
  • Active Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility

Nice To Haves

  • MDS modeling and simulation experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work internally with MDA’s Chief Architect and other MDA offices, and interface and collaborate with other government agencies
  • Work and collaborate in cross-functional teams with the technical customers, senior technical staff, and senior leaders
  • Support the evaluation of future architecture elements and technology enablers that support ballistic, hypersonic and cruise missile defense
  • Decompose complex problems into actionable elements
  • Coordinate efforts in a timely manner across multiple organizations
  • Present complex information and concepts to leaders at various levels
  • Rapidly build, modify, or adapt M&S tools to answer novel questions, such as those relating to: Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and interceptor modeling, Object tracking algorithm implementation or modeling, RF and EO/IR phenomenology, sensor design and performance modeling (e.g. Optical sensor link budget modeling)
