About The Position

OMNI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide SETA (Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance) support to a high-visibility government program developing next-generation space-based sensing and radar capabilities. This role supports government leadership with technical assessments, systems engineering, integration, and mission execution across the full program lifecycle.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (advanced degree preferred)
10+ years of experience supporting aerospace, defense, or space systems programs
Experience with ISR, radar systems, RF payloads, or mission systems engineering
Familiarity with MBSE/SysML tools and systems engineering lifecycle processes
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Active TS/SCI clearance required
U.S. Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

Prior SETA or government program office experience
Experience with DoD acquisition processes and space system integration/testing
Familiarity with tools such as Cameo, Jira, Confluence, DOORS, MATLAB, or Python

Responsibilities

Provide independent technical assessments of contractor designs, architectures, and system performance
Support systems engineering activities including requirements, integration, test, verification, and operations
Evaluate radar, RF payload, and mission system performance
Support MBSE and digital engineering efforts using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw
Participate in design reviews, integration/test campaigns, and readiness assessments
Identify technical risks and provide recommendations to government leadership
Develop briefings and decision support materials for senior stakeholders
