About The Position

Anduril’s Maritime Division is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Maritime Enabling Technology (MET) team in Quincy, Massachusetts. MET develops shared technologies, common interfaces, and enabling capabilities for the division’s product lines. This role is the primary MET Systems Engineering presence in Quincy and connects MET with co-located program teams across multiple Maritime business lines. The position combines systems engineering and technical program management. It involves driving cross-system integration, aligning stakeholders, and helping ensure technical decisions in one product area do not create downstream integration issues elsewhere. The role supports shared-subsystem architecture, requirements, verification, and the full product lifecycle, from design and rapid prototyping through integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment. It requires an autonomous, proactive engineer with strong communication skills who can work across organizational and technical boundaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7–12 years of professional engineering experience, with depth in systems engineering, systems integration, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational and technical boundaries, connect teams, resolve interface conflicts, and drive alignment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior technical leadership, program managers, and working-level engineers.
  • Experience serving as a technical lead, program integrator, or technical program manager for multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • High ownership and bias toward action; ability to work autonomously in a geographically distributed team with limited day-to-day oversight.
  • Ability to think holistically across complex systems and understand how subsystem-level decisions affect an integrated product architecture.
  • Experience with requirements definition, interface specification, system verification, and integration planning for hardware-software systems.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing, integrating, or operating robotic and/or autonomous systems; maritime experience is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition, product delivery lifecycles, or working in a DoD customer environment.
  • Familiarity with common middleware or integration frameworks for autonomous platforms.
  • Background in one or more of perception systems, navigation, autonomy software, sensor integration, communications systems, or power/energy systems for unmanned platforms.
  • Experience in a rapid-iteration hardware-software co-development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary MET Systems Engineering point of contact in Quincy and engage with co-located program teams across Maritime business lines.
  • Own cross-program systems integration and interface definition, and help ensure MET technologies are adopted across products.
  • Align Designated Engineers, Chief Engineers, and program leads; translate program needs into MET development priorities and communicate MET capabilities and constraints to programs.
  • Identify and manage cross-system impacts of technical decisions to reduce integration risks and incompatibilities across products.
  • Contribute to architecture, requirements definition, and verification strategy for shared subsystems, common interfaces—including Lattice integration—and enabling capabilities.
  • Support the product lifecycle from design and rapid prototyping through integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of complex autonomous systems.
  • Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to systems engineering capacity and cross-functional collaboration within Maritime.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are part of total compensation.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as comprehensive and competitive and available at little to no cost to employees.
