Senior Systems Engineer
About The Position
This is an onsite position for a motivated, hands-on Senior Systems Engineer who has experience with electro-mechanical devices. The contract may be renewed into 2027 based on candidate performance and business need. The work hours for this role are 9:00am-5:00pm, but that is flexible and can be discussed with the RRP after the candidate is selected. The role applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in complex systems and assignments. General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specifications, reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions. The engineer will make independent decisions and assist in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Risk and requirement management
- technical writing (protocols, reports, etc.)
- demonstrated experience with complex systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred)
- 8 yrs experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a FDA or FAA regulated environment is a strong plus
- Medical device industry is ideal
Responsibilities
- Test Method Development
- DoE
- data analysis (python coding capability)
- Digital outputs of a sensor and analyze the data
- Test bed development
- Troubleshooting skills
- Developing comprehensive testing plans
- Executing hands-on testing protocols
- Authoring detailed technical reports
- Managing the defect lifecycle (collection, documentation, and summarization for our development partner)
