About The Position

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of enterprise infrastructure systems supporting critical business operations. This role provides technical leadership across server, virtualization, cloud, and identity platforms, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and operational excellence. The position operates within a complex, application-centric environment and works closely with Systems Administrators, Security, Network, and Business Services teams to deliver cohesive, enterprise-grade solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, and eight (8+) years of Information Technology experience.
Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, and ten (10+) years of progressive Information Technology experience.
High School Diploma or GED and twelve (12+) years of progressive Information Technology experience.
Minimum of two (2) industry-recognized technical certifications relevant to enterprise infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud platforms.
VMware, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 / Security, CompTIA (Security+, Server+, Network+)
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licensure in one or more jurisdictions.
Advanced knowledge of operating systems, backup solutions, systems management, monitoring and expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Demonstrated advanced experience working in a VMWare environment.
Demonstrated advanced experience working with all aspects of Window Server and its components.
Experience administrating AD and ADFS environments.
Experience working with Cloud solutions in a hybrid environment.
Advanced knowledge of: Windows Server administration, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Active Directory / Microsoft domain services, DNS/DHCP and core networking concepts, Backup and disaster recovery systems, Server patching and lifecycle management, IIS administration and application server support, Remote access technologies
Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with Mobile devices and support.
Strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Detail-oriented with focus on reliability and security
Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
Collaborative team mindset aligned with enterprise service delivery
Demonstrated knowledge working with Microsoft 365 and e-mail administration
Must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and related hardware, network and authentication services, and mass storage devices and their related technologies.
Experience in using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex problems.
Some travel may be required.

Responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance and support of servers, collaboration systems, storage area network, enterprise backup, virtual servers, and systems management environments.
Presents information to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and equipment.
Design: Works with management, peers, and vendors to design and implement hardware/software configurations, logical models, operational management models, and business continuity plans for systems under management.
Support: Works with management, peers, and vendors to provide ongoing monitoring, performance tuning, implementation, and fault root cause analysis for systems under management.
Technical Writing: Creation and maintenance of troubleshooting and operational documentation for all systems under management. Authors and peer-reviews knowledgebase articles documenting fault root causes and their respective resolutions.
Training: Provides and receives cross-discipline training in order to ensure maximum availability of systems under management.
Continuous Improvement: Actively pursues opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools, and processes for systems under management.
Carries and responds to off-hours communications device, to provide 24x7 support for systems under management.
Leads Change Management process and methodology as it relates to Systems Administration
Responsible for enforcing the privacy rules pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as applicable to ilani
Responsible for understanding and ensuring PCI compliance requirements are effectively implemented
Supports established enterprise Shared Services Agreement and adheres to ongoing collaboration efforts among sister properties.
Responsible for maintaining and enforcing confidentiality and privacy rules pursuant to all applicable regulations
