Senior Systems Engineer – Advanced Airborne RF Sensors

RTX•Atlanta, GA
•$86,800 - $165,200•Onsite

About The Position

The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors Department within RTX’s Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability Center is seeking Senior Systems Engineers to lead development, integration, testing, and deployment of next-generation Electronic Warfare and airborne sensor systems. This is an onsite role located in Atlanta, Georgia. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active, existing DoD Secret clearance after the first day; the candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. The engineer develops system-level solutions, including updates to signal processing and control algorithms, and plans and executes system verification through simulations, laboratory testing, and data analysis. The role assesses developmental RF system performance, drives integration and troubleshooting in laboratory and field environments, performs failure analysis and root-cause investigations, and uses tools such as MATLAB or Python to analyze system data. The engineer prepares technical results, maintains system documentation and engineering artifacts, and provides technical coordination and leadership support to Engineering Integrated Product Team Leads. Travel may be required up to 20% as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, preferably Physics or Computer Science, and 5+ years of relevant experience supporting airborne RF, radar, Electronic Warfare, or advanced sensor systems.
  • Experience with system requirements development, system design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active and existing security clearance is required after day 1.
