About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a large analytic cloud repository environment in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position will augment an existing dataflow team responsible for Data Flow Management and mission-critical data distribution efforts supporting enterprise-level operations. The selected candidate will work closely with engineering and operations teams to manage, optimize, troubleshoot, and modernize complex data flows within a high-ingest analytic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting data flow engineering initiatives and working with Apache NiFi or similar dataflow technologies. This role supports an evolving infrastructure environment utilizing methodologies designed to increase flexibility and reduce time-to-mission for new capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Seventeen (17) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting data governance processes including DMRs, DLMS, DSW, and DART.
Experience supporting security and compliance requirements related to data handling.
Experience with access control and catalog labeling processes.
Experience supporting dataflow engineering or Apache NiFi environments.

Responsibilities
