About The Position

Innovatus Technology Consulting is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support its enterprise systems and infrastructure environment. This fully remote role focuses on administering Red Hat and Windows servers, supporting security and compliance activities, monitoring system performance and capacity, and providing technical support to internal teams and external partners. The position requires an active Secret clearance or higher and hands-on Linux system administration experience.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• Strong hands-on skills with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Familiarity with STIGs, SCAP, ACAS, and PKI certificate management.
• Experience monitoring performance and capacity in on-premises and AWS environments.
• Ability to work with other teams and external partners.

Nice To Haves

• Windows experience.
• Experience with Control-M, Track-It, or EWM/RTC.

Responsibilities

• Help guide technical priorities and day-to-day work for the systems environment.
• Administer and maintain approximately 34 servers, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux with a few Windows servers.
• Support quarterly and yearly SCAP and STIG compliance activities.
• Track, renew, and install PKI certificates on web servers and Oracle applications.
• Run and track weekly ACAS vulnerability scans and follow up on findings.
• Monitor operating system and mid-tier resources and help plan expansions as needed.
• Apply operating system security patches and upgrades as required.
• Monitor system performance at the operating system and AWS levels.
• Support planned and ad-hoc auditing requests.
• Work with the data center on SLDCADA-related network, systems, security, or user access issues.
• Provide technical support to the Dev, Customer Support, and Database teams as needed.
• Support additional projects involving partners such as USAGM, NIS, and DISA.
• Help with application vulnerability remediation and support tools such as Control-M, Track-It, and EWM/RTC.
