About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) mindset to perform DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities. You will conduct long-term, in-depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principles and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture. You will also perform independent verification & validation of security requirements and capabilities, incorporating systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents (e.g., Performance Work Statements). Additionally, you will perform technical evaluations of contractor proposals for systems resiliency, security, and cyber security considerations. As a Lead Sr Systems Engineer, you will contribute to building a strong team with depth in the system engineering process to exceed technical performance expectations within the mission space. Leverage your interpersonal skills to foster relationship development with our customers to gain additional insights, information, and documentation to improve our ability to accomplish our mission.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of Systems Engineering experience (or High School Diploma + 15 years, or Bachelor's degree + 11 years, or Master's degree + 9 years).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience serving as a Lead Systems Engineer, with demonstrated success leading, managing, and collaborating across multidisciplinary organizations, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Zero Trust architecture, implementation, or engineering initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Cybersecurity certification (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc)
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160
  • Familiarity with INCOSE defined life cycle systems engineering processes
  • Experience with / knowledge of large-scale DOD Systems

Responsibilities
