Secret-Cleared Senior Systems Engineers – Radar
About The Position
PGS Worldwide is seeking Secret-cleared Senior Systems Engineers specializing in radar in Woburn, Massachusetts. This is a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace and defense company. The role supports development and modernization of advanced radar and missile-defense sensor systems, including system architecture, requirements development, modeling, algorithm analysis, and verification. Engineers develop system architectures and system-level requirements, support architectural updates and verification strategies, perform requirements analysis, modeling, simulation, and benchmarking, and evaluate algorithm and overall system performance. They develop engineering artifacts, collaborate with software, integration, and test teams, and contribute to technical reviews, engineering documentation, customer presentations, and resolution of complex multidisciplinary systems-engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required to start.
- Direct experience with radar or missile-defense sensor systems.
- Experience developing system architectures and system-level requirements.
- Proficiency with MATLAB or Ada, C, or C++ for algorithm development, system modeling, or performance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with system modeling, algorithm design, test-vector development, or radar performance analysis.
- Experience leading technical work and contributing to architecture or design decisions.
- Experience developing or maintaining engineering processes, methods, or tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced STEM degree.
- Experience with radar detection, discrimination, tracking, or signal-processing algorithms.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering experience using Cameo.
- Requirements-management experience using DOORS, including multi-level traceability.
- Linux-based engineering or development experience.
- Agile experience using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience leading technical customer engagements.
Responsibilities
- Develop system architectures and system-level requirements for advanced radar systems.
