About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Systems Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ to support advanced Restricted Ground Systems for highly secure, mission-critical defense programs. This role requires expertise in the systems engineering lifecycle, systems integration, ICD development, multi-level security (MLS), cross-domain environments, hardware/software integration, and TS/SCI-cleared DoD systems engineering programs supporting secure ground, modem, and antenna systems.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance required at time of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of related systems engineering experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting full systems engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with requirements decomposition, requirements management, and systems engineering methodologies.
  • Experience supporting systems integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Experience with multi-level security (MLS) and cross-domain environments.
  • Experience developing and managing Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and secure technical platforms.
  • Experience supporting ground systems, modem systems, or antenna systems.
  • Experience supporting classified defense or DoD engineering environments.
  • Ability to independently solve complex technical problems and lead technical efforts.

  • Experience supporting Agile engineering or Agile development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, definition, traceability, and management across complex systems engineering programs.
  • Support system architecture development, functional analysis, performance analysis, and technical design activities.
  • Conduct trade studies, technical evaluations, and engineering assessments to support system development and optimization.
  • Perform systems integration, verification, validation, and testing activities across hardware, software, networking, and secure system architectures.
  • Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and interface definitions.
  • Allocate system requirements and functionality to lower-level subsystems and components.
  • Conduct technical planning, cost analysis, risk analysis, supportability assessments, and system effectiveness evaluations.
  • Design and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure compliance with government security and accreditation requirements.
  • Support certification, accreditation, cybersecurity, and security testing activities for classified systems.
  • Develop and maintain system security documentation for new and existing platforms.
  • Participate in modeling and simulation activities supporting system analysis and performance evaluation.
  • Research and evaluate vendor products, COTS technologies, GFE/CFE components, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Define hardware/software compatibility requirements, technical platforms, interfaces, and operational parameters.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system integration challenges, technical risks, and design weaknesses.
  • Support Agile program execution using lightweight requirements decomposition and systems engineering methodologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Interface with customers, engineering leadership, and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Support limited travel as required.
