About The Position

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer who will support Space Force and Golden Dome for America (GDA) in Huntsville, AL. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Research Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth. Salary for this position will depend on experience.

Requirements

BS Engineering (MS Preferred)
9+ years of experience in weapons systems engineering, with significant experience leading complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system of systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios.
Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies
Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel 6-12 trips per year with multiple destinations
Top Secret Security Clearance
Must be US Citizen

Responsibilities

Support GDA and Space Force with systems engineering and integration expertise
Serve as the technical authority on large-scale, complex weapons systems projects, providing strategic direction and oversight.
Design, develop, and integrate advanced system architecture, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and performance requirements.
Innovate and drive the development of new technologies and methodologies to enhance system capabilities.
Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts across engineering disciplines, project management, and customers.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking government and industry stakeholders.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
