About The Position

As a Systems Engineer, you will be a key member of a technical team responsible for the system definition, design, integration and test of next generation inertial measurement and navigation products / solution for use in aircraft, UAV’s, missiles, land vehicles, and sea platforms. This role will be responsible for the leadership and oversite of Model Based System Engineering development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Science/Engineering and/or Master of Science /Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or appropriate engineering discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in MBSE
  • 4+ years’ aerospace and/or defense systems engineering, integration, and test
  • Strong Knowledge (proficiency preferred) in Cameo AE, DOORS, Microsoft Office
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of inertial navigation and GPS functionality a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to be part of a team in the definition, implementation, and demonstration of a solution when presented with a problem or set of problems.
  • Should possess the skills necessary to use industry MBSE tools and modeling methodologies to successfully produce systems engineering models with systems engineering processes in support of system development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test, and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks within the defined project schedule and cost.
  • Drives for results, action oriented.
  • Strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Turning Customer’s requirements and needs into digital models.
  • Communicating both with Customers and Engineering IPT’s, establishing product features and capabilities which apply digital engineering technologies for rapid assessment and deployment of capability.
  • Applying skills applicable to system design, data analysis, behavior assessment against requirements, and presentation/visualization methods to help the System Analyst understand results and take corrective actions.
  • Understanding IDT’s technologies and how to apply them to a Customer’s Products to accelerate the pace of development, test, deployment, and in-service upgrade.
  • Performing system development activities within a certified quality management environment and adhering to defined work procedures and instructions.
  • Creating engineering artifacts and developing models of systems using a MBSE tool suite that includes Cameo EA as well as other systems engineering tools.
  • Integrating enterprise tools and developing MBSE-based processes to support requirements engineering, schedule management, test and verification strategy development, and system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities.
  • Facilitating collaboration between the MBSE users and the tool development team to communicate modeling needs and help innovate potential solutions.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.
  • Supporting the new product development processes and discipline across the company.
  • Performing assigned tasks within the defined project schedule and cost.
  • Supporting senior project engineers and program managers in interfacing with both commercial and military customers in technical program definition and execution.
  • Supporting new business pursuits and proposal preparation that addresses program technical requirements and associated schedule and costs commensurate with experience level.
