About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to provide technical leadership and systems engineering expertise. This role involves analyzing user requirements, developing system specifications, guiding system design and development, and ensuring the technical integrity of complex national security programs. The engineer will interface directly with the Government, collaborate with various stakeholders, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Twenty (20) years of Systems Engineering experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity, with demonstrated expertise in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution; in lieu of a degree, an additional five (5) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations (CONOPS) documents, and high-level system architectures to develop comprehensive system requirements specifications.
  • Analyze system requirements and lead system design and development activities.
  • Guide users in defining and refining requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies to support effective technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership in the integration of requirements, system design, and emerging technologies.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations while ensuring alignment with established technical and operational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment and preparation of Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs), system integration plans, and test plans.
  • Interface directly with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations, including associated problems, issues, and conflicts.
  • Maintain ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with program personnel, Government stakeholders and overseers, and senior executives to communicate technical considerations, status, risks, and solutions.
