About The Position

Join our Edge AI team within the Hardware Compute Group at Amazon! As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the development and deployment of AI models and infrastructure for our Alexa, Echo, and other edge computing products. You will navigate complex distributed codebases, build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, and develop innovative infrastructure automation using Python, Bash, and AWS services. Collaborate cross-functionally to define system architectures, investigate technical feasibility tradeoffs, and drive key components from design to completion. This is an opportunity to work on impactful projects that will enable advanced on-device AI capabilities for our customers. Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
  • 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
  • Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
  • Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services

Responsibilities

  • Navigate and contribute to distributed package codebases across multiple repositories
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS services
  • Develop infrastructure automation using Python and Bash
  • Create and maintain dashboards for test reporting and metrics visualization
  • Integrate testing frameworks with build and release systems
  • Take full ownership of assigned components and drive them to completion
  • Independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues with minimal guidance
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain test automation infrastructure using pytest
  • Design, implement, and execute automated test suites including hardware-in-the-loop tests
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and gaps
