About The Position

Raytheon, a part of RTX, is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join their Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department. This role focuses on X-Band Radar technology, involving radar data analysis and systems integration activities. The engineer will support system data analysis and integration tasks, including scope planning, creating milestones, and managing schedules with competing priorities. Daily activities include scenario development, testing, data analysis, supporting software development and systems engineering teams, and customer presentations. The individual will contribute to the team's growth and interact with both internal and external customers.

Requirements

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming languages.
Experience with systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Secret - Current Security Clearance.
Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

Nice To Haves

Experience using String/HWIL test equipment.
Experience with radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware configuration and installation.
Experience with software installations.
Experience integrating or regression testing radar systems.
Certifications in CompTIA Network+ and or CompTIA Security+.
Experience with MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems (Linux Red Hat), Unix, and Shell scripting for performing integration, verification, test, and data analysis.
Experience integrating and configuring electronics.
Experience installing/debugging software.
Experience creating integration test procedures, test plans, test scripts.
Experience developing and maintaining configuration control documentation.
Experience navigating through test setup.
Experience with agile and DevSecOps processes.
Experience implementing (or maintaining) agile methodologies.
Experience participating in daily team standup meetings, sprint reviews, program Increment (PI) Planning meetings, retrospectives.
Experience with agile tooling such as JIRA and Confluence.
Experience supporting execution of the team’s backlog including performance analysis and issue investigation.

Knowledge of radar algorithms.
Knowledge of radar signal processing concepts, theory, modeling and determining radar performance.

Responsibilities

Participate in integration and test planning/execution.
Execute verification/validation events.
Perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
Complete system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasks, milestones, and schedules.
Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness).
Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware.
Ensure compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.
Willingness for 10% local and non-local travel.
