About The Position

The Systems Engineering Integrated Systems department is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation). The Integrated Systems team leads all aspects of systems engineering that drive the development of complex systems supporting the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area from our Tewksbury, MA location. The department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who collaborate to architect technical solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges. This is a full-time onsite position based in Tewksbury, MA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with system modeling, algorithm development, test vectors, or analysis tools
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Fortran.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with complex DSP, time‑domain signal modeling, and system requirements development.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Background in radar concepts, including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, data analysis, statistics, and interpreting technical drawings/schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts, conduct studies, and present credible analytical results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute and collaborate in a team environment receiving input from the program or team experts and contributing your knowledge to advance the discussions.
  • Communicate with cross-functional engineering teams to coordinate design plans and requirements analysis.
  • Contribute your knowledge of performance engineering practices and procedures to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing subject areas.
  • Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects.
  • Develop models to validate proposed architectures and designs against requirements as well as help shape future tech growth.
  • Develop and maintain modeling tools incorporating Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with complex time domain elements.
  • Analyze data to understand performance and perform root cause analysis.
  • Incorporate radar system concepts including detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms to model their behaviors and analyze performance.
  • Incorporate effector system concepts to model their behaviors and analyze performance.
