About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a System Design Engineer in its Graphics Product Team to work with hardware and software engineers developing products based on NVIDIA GPU, CPU, and Tegra SoC technologies. These products support areas such as GPU cards, datacenters, automotive, robotics, industrial PCs, and consumer electronics. The role balances product cost, performance, and schedule in collaboration with system and product architects, and contributes to hardware design, product bring-up, validation, and release.

Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of proven experience.
Strong electrical engineering and hardware system design fundamentals and experience.
Strong analytical skills, including experience in PCB and system design and review.
Hands-on bring-up experience and the ability to independently lead and drive bring-up efforts.
Strong board-level and system-level debugging skills, including the ability to guide validation teams through issue investigation and resolution.
Strong experience using lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
Flexible, team-oriented attitude and ability to adapt to a dynamic engineering environment.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build system hardware products around GPU, CPU, and Tegra SoC.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance product cost, performance, and schedule under the guidance of system and product architects.
Drive initial bring-up and testing, and lead debugging efforts.
Create schematics, supervise PCB layout, and conduct system validation.
Prepare documentation required to release products to manufacturers and partners.
Optimize or invent circuits and functions to improve performance and reduce cost.
Improve the design flow in collaboration with the infrastructure team.
