Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related field.
• Seven years of programming experience.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio).
• Five years of system analysis and design experience.
• Competent in COBOL, JCL, CICS, MVS, DB2, and SDLC.
• Top-tier communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with coworkers, managers and customers; conveying information clearly, listening carefully and providing guidance.
• Familiar with Business Writing, Project Management, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, and Teamwork concepts.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks while effectively organizing tasks and time.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements while creating technical specifications, and developing mainframe applications, interfaces, and databases.
• Maintain claims applications, to include production on call support and technical issue resolution.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for claims systems.
• Provide expert consultative assistance to Applications management and staff.
• Support implementation of software releases for the BlueCard National Program.
