About The Position

The Senior Systems Administrator oversees the administration of Information Technology (IT) systems and cloud-based services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to implementation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of Windows/Azure domain, M365 services, MS-SQL, and line of business applications. Activities include troubleshooting software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security. This position offers a challenging but flexible environment and exposure to a variety of applications and systems, as well as a path to future advancement within a mid-sized organization. The ideal candidate will have enough practical experience to take the reins of our Azure and Windows environments and lead the continued transition to cloud based systems. Strong written and analytical skills needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, OR 7 years of related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of MS Active Directory, Azure, Entra, Intune, SharePoint, Teams Windows Server, DNS / DHCP services, Microsoft Remote Desktop, Intune MDM, Azure Services Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, M365 Exchange, Teams and SharePoint; proficiency in all MS Office applications.
  • Ability to learn new and diverse applications and technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, understand, execute, and communicate root causes and implement solutions to resolve issues.
  • Must be self-motivating and able to work with minimum supervision and make cost-efficient decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Configures, administers, and monitors Windows/Azure AD domain, Exchange, SQL, various line of business applications, and administrative management applications.
  • Audits network security and data compliance requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues.
  • Monitors system performance to ensure smooth and secure network operation.
  • Audit and monitor user permissions and access to information including data.
  • Research and recommend new approaches to improve the network computer systems and applications.
  • Provides elevated technical support to users.
  • Documents control procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Engages and manages technical support managed service providers and consultants.
