About The Position
The Senior Systems Administrator, Airborne Systems is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and operational readiness of Ground Control Station (GCS) systems and associated networks. This role serves as the technical lead for GCS infrastructure, ensuring reliable LOS and BLOS communications while supporting engineering and customer-driven requirements. The position requires strong technical leadership, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to support both fielded and stateside operations. About Our Transition to Ondas Sentinel DZYNE Technologies was recently acquired by Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) and, together with World View, has joined forces to create Ondas Sentinel. Ondas Sentinel is a next‑generation U.S. defense platform integrating long‑endurance ISR, autonomous systems, counter‑UAS technologies, and mission intelligence. While DZYNE is now part of Ondas Sentinel, we are still legally operating as DZYNE as we complete the formal integration of our systems and processes. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience supporting GCS systems, network infrastructure, or mission-critical control systems.
- Strong understanding of IP networking (Layer 1–3), including VLANs, routing, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting LOS and BLOS communications systems.
- Ability to work independently while serving as a technical lead.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in customer-facing environments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or higher (required).
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting aviation, UAS, or defense-related programs.
- Familiarity with SATCOM systems and RF networking concepts.
- Experience supporting deployed or operational environments.
- CompTIA Network+ certification (preferred).
- Additional relevant networking or security certifications (e.g., CCNA).
Responsibilities
- Maintain, configure, and support Ground Control Station (GCS) hardware and software systems.
- Manage and maintain GCS network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and servers.
- Ensure reliable operation of LOS and BLOS communication links (SATCOM, RF, and IP-based links).
- Perform system updates, upgrades, and configuration changes in accordance with program and customer requirements.
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for GCS and network-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, FSRs, and operational teams based on customer requirements.
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex GCS and network issues during operations and deployments.
