About The Position

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Senior System Engineer reporting to the Site Engineering Manager supporting our Program Manager in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The position requires the employee to perform classic systems engineering tasks such as requirements definition, tracing and analysis, configuration management, risk assessment and tracking, systems integration and test. The ideal candidate will have experience with Air Force System Program Offices and possess a high level of familiarity with standard systems engineering approaches and modeling techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM-related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years experience
  • Good communication skills and demonstrated experience in a team environment
  • Understanding of traditional and additive manufacturing equipment including CNC mills and lathes, PCB mills, 3D printing, and others.
  • Experience in Risk and Requirements Management
  • Experience working with the community to prioritize, rank and task technical execution activities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD collateral secret security clearance; active clearance preferred
  • Experience in Source Selection activities
  • Experience in the oversight of program cost, schedule, and performance

Responsibilities

  • Provide requirements development using an interdisciplinary approach encompassing the entire technical effort with traceability through the verification methodology to the customer deliverable.
  • Develop technical information to support the program management decision-making process; assist Program Managers in managing and controlling the definition of the system configuration and the translation of the system definition into work breakdown structures
  • Oversee contractor development of technical information consistent with system requirements
  • Demonstrate experience in mission planning and requirements development to evolve and verify an integrated and total lifecycle balanced set of system, people, and process solutions that satisfy customer needs
  • Interface with customers during major milestone meetings such as Kick-off, System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review and Production Readiness Review with presentation responsibilities.
  • Support other Systems Engineers with requirements matrix reviews during early project development
  • Monitor and report on scope changes working with engineering to identify cost and schedule impacts.
