About The Position

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Nisga'a Tek is committed to high-quality service to those who defend us, ensuring mission assurance and execution for customers and warfighters. They provide intelligence, IT, cyber security, training, logistics, administrative, acquisition, and background investigation services. The Senior System Engineer leads the datacenter's engineering/admin team, responsible for the proper configuration and support of domain systems, storage servers, SAN, NAS, backup systems, Exchange, LMS, identity management, and security within the datacenter. Duties include staging, managing, development/sustainment, and production systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment.

Requirements

• Expertise in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, storage technologies, cloud computing platforms, & security best practices.
• Strong analytical skills; diagnose complex issues & develop effective solutions.
• Experience with high availability-hybrid datacenters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years of experience OR AA/AS with 7+ years of experience OR 9+ years of experience serving as a system administrator.
• IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification & applicable CE/OS Certification.
• Experience with Microsoft O365, VMWare, vSphere & NSX-T, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies & applications, Active Directory, AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in standard operations and security concepts, practices, & procedures within a datacenter.
• Relies on experience & sound judgment to plan & achieve goals.
• Experience leading an engineer & admin team.

Responsibilities

• Planning, designing, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and managing servers/applications during or after-work hours.
• Troubleshooting, managing, and performance monitoring all servers & applications.
• Engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure to include hardware & software.
• Support IT Supply Technician as assigned.
