About The Position

The Senior System Engineer will serve as the main technical resource for deployment readiness efforts on key data center use case solutions efforts during their initial period with the company. Eventually the role will transition for provide SME data center solution expertise during the project execution phase of an energy storage system project. From the design, integration, and commissioning phases of the project, the engineer will act as the bridge between FlexGen HybridOS controls, the project’s assets, and the rest of the data center energy generation assets. It is critical for the Senior System Engineer to operate with a high degree of self-sufficiency and take ownership of a wide range of engineering and project issues. To ensure successful project outcomes, they should fill the gap between engineering, software integration, and project execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BS degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of (6) years of work experience in the power system industry such as substation, power plant, or renewable energy
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and SCADA/control systems
  • Understand three phase power system principles, such as short circuit protection, power system load analysis, voltage/frequency variance, and grid stability
  • Technical communicator: Demonstrated ability to gather and comprehend large amounts of technical information, make decisions, and effectively disseminate conclusions with a variable range of stakeholders
  • Organized and self-sufficient: ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Eligible to work in US without sponsorship
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
