About The Position

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center-Ground Base Air Defense Sensor division (AFLCMC/ESG). The ESG Division manages efforts focused on developing, acquiring, fielding and sustaining programs that support worldwide communications, Battle Management, Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C2ISR), Air/Ground Surveillance, Time Critical Targeting, Combat Identification, Radar Imagery, Integrated Air/Missile Defense, and Mobile/Fixed C2ISR Performance, Exploitation & Dissemination Facilities. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Level Clearance
  • 7+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the DoD
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver security briefings and training
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple security tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate with Government, military, and contractor personnel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a range of system security documents, including System Security Management Plans, Program Protection Plans, OPSEC Plans, Security Risk Analyses, Vulnerability Analyses, Concepts of Operations, and other documentation required by MIL‑STD 1785, DoDI 5000.02, and DoDI 8510.01.
  • Support Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) activities under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), ensuring the quality and completeness of all security artifacts.
  • Update, monitor, and manage program office systems and data; maintain user accounts, tools, port/protocol requirements, access control lists, and PKI authorization needs.
  • Oversee distribution, implementation, remediation, and tracking of DoD‑mandated security updates and configurations.
  • Recommend policies and procedures to ensure system reliability, accessibility, and protection against unauthorized access.
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments for planned and operational systems.
  • Promote security awareness across the organization and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform security evaluations, audits, reviews, and recommend contingency and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Participate in network and system designs to ensure proper security integration; recommend software and configuration updates.
  • Request waivers for mandated mechanisms when required to preserve mission performance.
  • Support evidence gathering and preservation for computer‑related investigations.
  • Provide leadership in analyzing, designing, integrating, implementing, and testing cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop risk‑based strategies to remediate identified gaps.
  • Review and assess cybersecurity control implementations across open systems architecture, requirements, design documents, and services.
  • Collaborate with Government and commercial stakeholders to achieve system approval through the RMF A&A process.
  • Offer technical guidance on system security across all supported systems and develop recommendations addressing requirement alignment and business goals.
  • Maintain databases tracking classified material storage, inventory, disposition, and classified visit records.
  • Support audits of classified holdings and evaluate contractor submissions for compliance with Security Classification Guides.
  • Manage handling, inspection, inventory, documentation, transmission, and internal distribution of classified material.
  • Provide security protection for classified areas and develop procedures aligned with DoD, USAF, AFMC, and local directives.
  • Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs; verify personnel access qualifications for special access programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a communications security (COMSEC) program.
  • Assess disclosure issues and support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case management.
  • Assist FMS leadership in coordination with U.S. Government organizations (e.g., SAF/IA, AFSAC, AFSAT, DFAS).
  • Support all aspects of acquisition program security throughout a program’s lifecycle.
  • Develop sound acquisition, physical, personnel, and document security practices and update security classification guides.
  • Prepare security sections of acquisition documentation and review contractor deliverables for compliance with CDRLs.
  • Plan and conduct security surveys, assessments, and studies.
  • Evaluate program security information, hardware, test results, transportation, technology security, and storage throughout the lifecycle.
