About The Position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and securing enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure. The role will lead efforts in software deployment, system upgrades, resolving complex Tier 2/3 issues, and supporting enterprise-wide administration of Microsoft technologies. The administrator will also develop IT solutions, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement practices aligned with organizational goals. The position involves leadership in system management, technical support, and strategic IT initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years as a Systems Administrator.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Windows enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 administration (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Azure AD).
  • Expertise designing and managing Group Policy and Windows Active Directory.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency with image deployment systems (e.g., MDT).
  • Experience managing enterprise-level MDM systems.
  • Hands-on experience with user and group permission management in Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Microsoft Office 365 administration, including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, SharePoint, and related enterprise tools.
  • Manage software distribution systems and Office 365 thick client deployment.
  • Administer and design Group Policies for Office 365 and Windows environments.
  • Manage Windows Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
  • Oversee user and group permissions, security policies, and enterprise identity management.
  • Lead Intune Mobile Device Management administration, including app deployment and enterprise configuration.
  • Administer enterprise email policies, including mail flow, forwarding, and spam filtering.
  • Manage enterprise print services, including deployment and secure print configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues across desktops, laptops, and servers.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and enterprise applications.
  • Design and implement hardware and software solutions for system improvements.
  • Perform system utilization reviews, capacity planning, and recommend technical/process enhancements.
  • Lead server deployments for new and existing projects.
  • Document system deployments and configurations.
  • Travel 1–2 times annually to new MTSI office locations for IT infrastructure setup.
